“One thing’s for sure: not everyone is going to be leaving this island alive.”
This book is about 4 girls who were friends in high school being invited to a hen party on a private island by a girl that they used to make fun of in high school. But things aren’t what they seem, and revenge is being sought. Who will make it out alive?
When I say this book was overhyped, I mean it was WAY overhyped. I saw this book around everywhere so I decided to read it. I wish I didn’t. This book was a total cliché. It was predictable and there is nothing redeeming about this book. None of the characters are nice, except may Robyn the woman who ushers the girls to the island. Otherwise, all of the girls are vial in their own way. Everyone has a secret, the friends aren’t really as close as they think they are, etc… It was like the author tried to throw all these tropes in the book and it just didn’t work for me. Also, there is a ton of repetitiveness in this book. The number of times they mentioned that it was a hen party could have been turned into a drinking game. So, proceed with caution with this book. But so many others loved it, I might just be in the minory.
