Haunted

By: Ray and Michele Fraser

Thanks to Michele and Ray Fraser for the ARC of this book!

This book is ominous. That was literally the word that stuck in my head the entire time that I read it. Brett is helping a family with their haunted house. They have banging, and owl is moved every night, and the children have seen an apparition. Brett has no experience with the paranormal, but agrees to help any way that he can. Armed with some tarot cards, he goes to their house to begin the process of figuring out who is among this family, and why.

I will be the first person to say that paranormal isn’t usually my genre, but Michele and Ray have such a way of writing these books that make me greatly enjoy them. Not only was this book ominous, but it was suspenseful, well developed, and interesting. When the spirits were making noise, my heart was pounding! I enjoyed not only the paranormal investigative aspect of this short story, but the actual investigative aspect of it as well. Trying to figure out the house’s history and who lived there previously. I enjoyed that Brett was so willing to help and learned in order to help. He seemed like such a stand up guy. All of the characters (well maybe except 1) were all likeable.

I cannot wait for the next book in this Starlight series!!!
