A sweet Christmas romance
This was a sweet Christmas romance book. When Maeve passes away, her great nephew, Ves, comes to town to take care of her house and her things. Eisha wants to get on Ves’ good side because she needs him to agree to film a sequel to a movie at the house. He says no at first and then she wins him over. They agree they can’t ignore their attraction to each other, but with her living in this small town in PA and him living in NY, they knew nothing could work out in the long term. So they decide to be together until he leaves to go back to NY, with no strings attached. But will that work?
Small town romance? Yes please! A town that looks like a Hallmark Christmas movie town? Yes please! This was a very cute read. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t feel the characters’ emotions, and I tried really hard. Did I want them to have a HEA? Yes, but I also wanted to feel them getting there. I recently read a book where the characters are now living rent free in my head. This one won’t do that. So while it’s cute and easy to read, I needed more.
