This started out great! Chelsea has nothing to lose when she agrees to go with her friend Stephanie to a speed dating event. Bob was a bore, but Trevor had potential. So does the waiter (who she doesn’t know is actually a doctor). Then an earthquake hits and wreaks havoc on the speed dating event and the venue. Now Chelsea, an E.R. nurse, and the dreamy doctor work together to help anyone that’s injured. A spark ignites, but does Chelsea’s stubbornness mess things up?
This was cute. I liked the premise and the catastrophic event that occurred. I liked that Chelsea and the doctor had something in common that drew them together. The subtle glances, the accidental touches, all made for a great story. However, within mere hours, he tells her that he loves her and she tells him they should go on a date. I guess I’m just not really a fan of instalove no matter how hard the author really tried to make the reader feel something between the two characters. I think if this were a little longer, and we had some more development between the two characters, then this would be a hit.
