“My life would be a hell of a lot easier if I hadn’t started to realize that maybe I have a thing for this sassy, overly organized, takes no **** and give it back twofold girl.”
Well, I didn’t expect this book. Jackson’s and Emma’s families have been at odds for forever. When Jackson’s family moved to town, Emma’s family didn’t invite them to their Christmas party. From there on out, the families were feuding. Well the mayor and the town were sick of the feud and forced the families to have one party, together, under one roof. Emma and Jackson were to put it together. But they hate each other, don’t they?
There is a lot of smut towards the beginning and middle of the book. It’s not written badly or anything, but I prefer the smut to come after the romance. So that’s just my preference. I really enjoyed the banter between Jackson and Emma. I liked how Emma didn’t take anything sitting down and she gave it right back to him.
The romance part had me floating on air. I really wanted more of that romance part. I loved seeing this hardened man become so soft to Emma. The time they spent together in the city was perfect. I also loved the idea of the Christmas party and I wish I had the visual to see how it was meant to be seen.
So if you like short, fast reads with a lot of spice, then this is the one for you!
