“It seems as if you see me exactly as I wish to be seen. There is no greater gift than that.”
In this short story by TJR, Carrie finds out that her husband is cheating on her when she finds letters from Janet indicting such. She then writes to Janet’s husband, David, to let him know what is going on. Carrie and David then began exchanging letters. And then they meet. But what is going to happen between their spouses?
This was a very interesting short story. It is told entirely through letters. While I’ve seen a lot of 5 star reviews for this one, I did not feel the same. Unfortunately, I did not feel what the characters were feeling. I wanted more. I wanted to feel the character’s feelings more, I wanted more of the story. I wish we had David’s reaction to the last letter.
It was a nice story, but just not fantastic like other books of TJR’s.
