“What Rhys knew was that kissing her had felt like waking up. Like he’d been drifting sleepily through everything for the past nine years until he tasted her mouth again and remembered what actually being live felt like.”
Vivienne Jones cursed her ex boyfriend nine years ago. Now Rhys is back to recharge the ley lines and make an appearance at the fall festival. Then things start to occur to Rhys and then everything in the town goes haywire. While their chemistry heats up, they also have to figure out how to reverse the curse.
So this book was just okay for me. I really enjoyed it at first, but then it lost me. I think that’s because it felt really drawn out to me. I did like the romance between Rhys and Vivi. I also really enjoyed the talking cat and the ghost. Even though it was a shorter book, it just felt like the ending was taking forever to arrive! The ending was a bit of a let down, it all just felt too easy. Unfortunately, I will not remember this book a long time from now.
