I’m not sure how I was introduced to this book. Nicole and Tom are childhood sweethearts and a great couple. While life had been a struggle for them, they won the lottery and built a beautiful house. But their dream life turns into a nightmare when Nicole comes home and finds her husband’s body floating in the pool and he’s dead. The police begin their investigation and everyone is a suspect. As they proceed, secrets and lies are revealed while they are trying to determine what happened to Tom.
This was just an okay read for me. At first, I was drawn in and very interested. Then the book lost me a little bit. However, once the first reveal was made, I was more into it. More secrets were revealed, most of which I never saw coming. There are some smaller story lines here that intertwine to connect to the bigger one. That was done successfully.
I didn’t really like most of the characters. I felt a bit for Nicole, as she just lost her husband, but even she wasn’t 100% likeable. I also hated the ending. I can’t say much more than that without giving it away. I thought it just was blah.
Anyway, if you’re interested in checking this out, you can do so here.
