Jenna McCay goes out to celebrate her 19th birthday. She never makes it home. Instead of waking up in her bed, she wakes up in a room – trapped. The kidnapper? She has no idea who it could be. The person likes to play games with her, but is she strong enough to play?
This gave really good creepy vibes. At around 168 pages, this was the perfect length for this book. The author was succinct in descriptions and gave up plenty of action. I could feel Jenna’s fear and anxiety.
I read this one pretty fast and not just because of the length. I needed to know what was going to happen next and what game would be played next. I will say, not much bothers me, but there was one scene that made me a little squeamish (I don’t like spiders!). There are some trigger warnings that come with this book, so make sure you check those out.
There is a second book to this, and I do plan on checking that out at some point. If you’re interested in checking this one out. You can do so here.
