My Review
This was just oh so cute and sweet! It’s also really relatable. Ever have a dream job that you don’t know will happen for you so you settle for something else? That’s Nat! I had a dream job, and I settled. It’s easy to feel insecure in a job that you don’t really want, and for which you don’t really have any skills. The author did not make this easy for Nat either, she fumbles and needs to pick up the pieces.
Then there’s the romance. The “I’ve got a crush” to “I have feelings” to “this shouldn’t be happening because he’s my boss” to “I can’t control my pull to him.” These are things most have felt. I know that I have (though not really towards a boss). Michael is strict as a boss, he expects a certain level of quality when it comes to work. But personally, he’s as sweet as can be. He seems to love to help Nat, and that was really heartwarming. I love a guy who is willing to help out – no matter what it is.
This is light hearted and easy to read. You’ll keep turning the pages because it will keep a smile on your face. Perfect for any romance reader.
