“Everything about my life is about to change into something unrecognizable.”
Okay KMod, you had me with this one, you’ve done it yet again! I’m so glad that I finally read this book. It’s been a while since I’ve read this author. Celine is at work at a coffee shop when she receives a phone call saying that her husband has been in an accident and she needs to identify his body. When she looks at the picture the police show her, it’s not her husband. But then who is that, why was he in her husband’s car, and where is her husband? As Celine tries to figure out what is going on with her husband, what happened in his past, and where he is now, she finds out that she never really knew him at all.
KMod is known for her twists, and there is definitely a few twists in here that I did not see coming. However, I think it was the first twist that is revealed that really had me surprised. This book felt more mature than other books that I’ve read of KMod’s. I’ve enjoyed reading her books and seeing her grow in her craft.
One of the things that I love about her books is that they are easy to read and right to the point. I’ve always said this about her books; I don’t need long winded descriptions of pieces of grass like I have gotten in other books. Her books are absolutely addictive. The true definition of a page turner.
I liked most of the characters; I’ll keep the name of the one that I didn’t like to myself because I don’t want to give anything away. I think the plot progressed nicely, and at a good pace. The last part of the book really picked up, just as it should.
