“… I’m not letting you get on that plane without being mine. Be mine. F*ck, just, I need you to be mine.”
Quinn goes home for the holidays but she just wants it to be over so she can go home to New York. Since her parents divorce, she’s hated the holidays. Then under the mistletoe she makes a bet with her brother’s best friend and childhood crush, Parker. Give him the week to make her fall in love with Christmas again the way that she used to. That may not be all she falls in love with…
Who knew that an author could make my heart melt and fall in love with yet another book boyfriend in 133 pages? That’s exactly what Maren Moore did with this Christmas novella! I loved the little role reversal here and that he loved Christmas and she was the grumpy/sunshine character. There was so much cute and fun banter between the two, it really made me smile.
Parker really worshipped Quinn, and it was sweet to find out that he crushed on her as well when they were younger. There was some really great body positivity in the book as well. Oh, and if you’re curious, there were definitely some spicy scenes.
I also enjoyed how the book ended. Quinn was very sensible and I felt that more realistic than a lot of other books that I have read.
A great, quick holiday read! If you’re interested, check it out here.
