Tweetie is the typical hockey player bachelor. Always out at clubs, different girls, no steady relationships. That is, not since Tedi – the one that got away. Now Tedi re-enters his life when she is brought in to run a social media campaign for the Falcons hockey team. Then she introduces Decker, her boyfriend? Tedi and Tweetie broke each other’s hearts, but they have always been drawn to each other. It’s easy to see that they still have feelings for each other, but is there a way back to each other?
This is book 4 in The Nest series and its tied for first as my favorite along with Mr. Heartbreaker! Tweetie is such a sweetheart underneath it all! The chemistry between Tedi and Tweetie was off the charts! You could feel the magnetic pull between the two of them, but I did understand why they wanted to not make the same mistake again. The longing and the yearning.. ugh, I was there for ALL of it!! This is easily my favorite romance series hands down.
I enjoyed how the authors handled telling the reader about their past. We got to read about parts of their past relationship via journal entries by each of them. It got to know them as they were when they were younger and in a relationship, and it allowed the reader to see how much both of them had changed.
There were a few little surprises at the end (I’m not spoiling anything), and I was here for all of them (including the one that I don’t normally like!). I also love how the nest is being handed off to the next set of athletes. I do hope we get to see this cast of characters again.
