Many thanks to BookSparks for the ARC of this book and allowing me to be apart of the #SRC2025

Former child TV stars agree to do a reality TV show about sobering up. They all live in a house together and cameras are on them 24/7. Then one dies. What happened to her and why? Part of the staff is Dr. Laurel Harlow, the therapist for all of the addicts in the house. When she hears about what happened at the house, she goes over there right away to make sure the others are okay. Then the police decide she had something to do with it, and the evidence is kind of serious. Did she have something to do with it? And if so, why? If not, where did this evidence come from?

This book Wowed me. I’ve read a handful of Berry’s books in the past, and most of them I really loved, but this one is really twisted. I don’t even know how Berry comes up with these plots, I’m truly amazed at her brain!

This book is dark. There are discussions of alcohol and drug abuse, SA, suicide, death, self harm, bullying, and then there is a graphic scene. So please, make sure you’re checking these triggers before diving into this book. However, if you can and do read this book, you won’t be disappointed. I didn’t expect the twists that were in the book at all. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn’t stop turning the pages. It’s written so well.

The ending wasn’t my favorite, but it was a good ending for this book. Just personally I was hoping for something better for one of the characters. However, Berry doesn’t write endings that are sunshine and rainbows, so I shouldn’t ever expect that! Overall though, this is a 5 star read!!! One of Berry’s best books!
