Scythe & Sparrow

By: Brynne Weaver

“It’s okay to love your darkness and still love yourself. It doesn’t make you a bad person. It makes you a whole one.”

In this last installment of this trilogy, Rose Evans is a circus performer but she also gets the urge to engage in a little murder. When she attacks a man, and he attacks her back, she finds an empty clinic. That clinic belongs to Dr. Fion Kane. Dr. Kane is taken by Rose, and he offers to take care of her while her broken leg heals. He consistently is helping her get out of trouble, but he finds himself being drawn to her more and more. They decide on a friends with benefits situation, but is that all it will ever be?

This was a fantastic final installment of this book. This book is filled with swoon worthy moments, quirky characters, a pet racoon, an engaging plot, and the main characters of the previous books. Dr. Kane seriously was the sweetest. He wanted to do nothing more than take care of Rose and protect her.

This isn’t the darkest romance book I have ever read. In fact, I would consider this dark romance light. But it is definitely spicy, and it’s well written. These two have off the charts chemistry. But the flirting and the banter were equally as fantastic! In fact, that is what made their bedroom chemistry even better.

If you haven’t read this series, or haven’t gotten to this book in the series yet, I’d suggest putting this at the top of your TBR list!
