Kinney used to be a lethal government contractor. Then he had near death experience and it changed him. Now he only wants missions where he doesn’t have to kill – until someone forces him. A mysterious organization hires him to kill a South American military leader because he has easy access to him. Kinney has a different plan. Along with his friend Reed, they find themselves involved in a deadly game of deception, where they don’t know who to trust and don’t know who might want to kill them.
This is a really enjoyable read. The whole book is full of action and it’s really fast paced. I love that you can rely on the two main characters, Kinney and Reed, but you cannot rely on any of the other characters. I thought I could trust certain characters and then when certain twists were revealed, I learned that I couldn’t trust them! So then I didn’t know who to trust! I kind of really loved that! Then I didn’t know what was going to happen and it led me to be more engrossed in the book!
The author did such a great job with this book! The writing was excellent, the dialogue and the scenes really pushed the story along. I will definitely read another book by this author.
