Miley’s Olympic dreams are sidelined when there’s an accident so she takes a summer job at a mountain guest lodge. She wants to make sure she keeps up her training, so she goes running a lot in off her. The Frank Church Wilderness is remote and a girl went missing 4 years ago. After a run, Miley takes a dip in a lake and gets abducted. She’s starved and chained. How can she escape?
This was my first time reading this author and it was really good!!! At first, I was like “what am I reading?” Then the kidnapping happened and the book took off! It kept me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t know if Miley was going to be able to make it out of there or if she was going to be able to stay alive. I didn’t know she was destined to remain to be held captive for the rest of her life, or if she would finally be “tamed.”
There was definitely a few things that I didn’t see coming in this book, which is my favorite when it comes to thrillers. Especially towards to the end, I really liked one particular choice that the author made, but I won’t say what it is because I don’t want to give anything away!
The writing was really good – it’s a fast read and thriller lovers are going to love this one if they haven’t already read it!
