I was addicted to reading this book, I didn’t want to put it down, and I was really annoyed that I couldn’t read it when I wanted to because I had to work! The connection between Lottie and Brooks was palpable. He is the definition of a cinnamon roll MMC, and I loved every minute of it. He’s thoughtful, vulnerable, open with his feelings, and he understands where Lottie is coming from and willing to wait as long as it takes for her to realize that he’s really the guy for her. Lottie is such a great personality. She’s sassy and honest. She’s a little scared to be open at first, but then she gets there.
Aside from the romance aspect of this book, there is some family drama as well, and some very emotional aspects. There are things that Brooks doesn’t know about Lottie and her relationship with Holden. These things only strengthen the bond between the two.
