About this Book

“Morning, Josh.”

“Night, Webbo.”

Childhood sweethearts, Erin Webster and Josh Hardy are getting married … But they haven’t seen each other for twenty years. Erin lives in Yorkshire, whilst Josh lives in New Zealand, on the other side of the world. When it’s her evening, it’s his morning. When the sun’s rising for her, it’s setting for him. And while Erin is a carer to her mum, Josh has a daughter, so neither can relocate to be together. Let’s not even mention the cruel tragedy that ripped them apart when they were teenagers, that neither of them ever got over.

In this digital age of video calls, Bluetooth heartbeats, and long-range, remotely controlled vibrators, Erin and Josh are about to find out if it is possible for love to transcend oceans, time zones and dodgy Wi-Fi. Can their relationship really go the distance?

My Review

When I read the description of this book, I knew I had to read this book. I was wondering how the author was going to handle this synopsis, but I think it was fantastic. The flashbacks and the discussions of the the things that they did back when they were kids provided the background that help build the chemistry for the reader. While we know that long distance is difficult, I enjoyed the creativity of the day dates!

The book opens with a dramatic scene that makes the reader heartbroken for Erin and really angry at Josh, but by the end of the chapter you know there’s more to it than meets the eye. So you need to keep reading so that you can figure out what exactly happened to cause those specific events (yes, I’m purposefully being obtuse here!).

I also really liked the personal real life situations that each of the characters found themselves in. For Erin, it was with her mother. For Josh, it was with his daughter Beth. Neither could leave where they live, so this is what had to be for them. They figured out how to make it work for them.

This was a really cute and fun read. It’s out now, so check it out!
