Scott’s wife is a influencer and is looking to post about the perfect Thanksgiving. When they visit an antique store, she sees this table that she loves and they get it. Soon after the table is delivered to their house, strange things start to occur. Scott starts to hear strange noises and in the house, and Wendy starts sleepwalking. The table holds dark secrets. Will Scott, his wife, and their dinner guests make it through dinner? Can Scott stop whatever this dark force is?
This was a fun read to do as an advent read. The chapters aren’t long and there is something in each one that is enjoyable. I was enjoying this one until the end. There are a lot of creepy moments and at times the book is atmospheric and suspenseful.
Unfortunately for me, the ending felt a bit rushed. I feel like Chapter 27 could have been longer, or maybe split into 27a, 27b, etc… Things all happened to quickly and the ending felt a little abrupt.
