Celine’s mother keeps setting her up on blind dates, and her mother is at it again for the Solstice. So she decides to take matters into her own hands and cast a spell bringing Henry, the man from her romance novel, out of the pages and into her world. Henry was riding his horse when he found himself in Celine’s room. He’s drawn to her instantly and forgets what just happened to him. He’s awestruck at her world and taken by Celine, his little witch. Celine then finds out the spell was temporary, and there’s only one way to get Henry back… he has to want to be there, or he’ll be erased from her life, and her world, forever.
I picked this book up because I was in the mood for a novella and someone on Bookstagram posted about this book and how great it was. Well… I didn’t think it was so great. I’m not a fantasy/paranormal reader normally, so let’s get past the witch stuff as I knew what I was getting into when I picked it up. No, the problem that I had with this book is that the description makes this sound like a sweet novella when all this really was, was an excuse to write a smutty book. They both climb into bed with each other over and over again. That’s not what I wanted to read.
I wanted to read the story line, which pretty much disappeared for most of the novella. I feel like that’s hard to do with a book that’s only 103 pages. Seeing the other reviews, it seems that I am in the minority on this one. But I always promise honest reviews, so this is my honest review!
