One Little Mistake

What happens when something you thought was your personal thoughts is revealed to the world and goes viral? Just ask Kate, who ranked her friends on a spreadsheet and that spreadsheet gets sent around. Now her friends aren’t talking to her. On top of that, she’s getting threatening letters from an anonymous person who seems to be out for revenge. Things turn deadly. Kate’s one little mistake could cost her her life, in more ways than one.

I really enjoy Miranda Rijks’ books, and this one was just as enjoyable! Rijks writes fast paced, easy to read, get lost in, thrillers that keep you guessing. I’ve read a bunch of Rijks’ books and I thought I had this one figured out. I thought “I’ve read her other books, I sort of know the pattern, I got this one right!” NOPE!!! I was wrong, yet again.

The cast is one of unlikeable characters, and while Kate isn’t the best character, it’s still hard not to root for her. Her friends were understandably upset so I couldn’t fault them. However, her husband was a jerk! He wasn’t even on the list and all he could think about was himself!

While this is an entertaining read, I think it’s also a cautionary tale of what happens when personal things are leaked on the internet (or even placed there on purpose). Be careful what you post, email, etc… I’m so glad that in my younger days putting stuff online wasn’t a thing (yup, I’m THAT old!).

Pick this one up for a fast paced, entertaining read that will keep you guessing!
