We are back at Plain Daisy Ranch for this 6th installment in the series! In this one, Zander is a country music star who spotted Romy in the crowd and had her brought backstage. They had a great time together for a bit, and then he stopped it, hurting her. Now she’s back home at the ranch where she is getting ready for a celebrity to come shoot a music video. Of course it’s Zander! But both of them didn’t know. She’s cold to him at first, but the ice slowly melts. One problem.. Zander has already made it known that he’s not looking for a forever.

I can’t get enough of this series!!! These two characters were written perfectly. There’s so much hurt, longing, and chemistry between these two and how it all gets resolved is really beautiful. Zander has a past that Romy doesn’t quite understand, and vice versa. He’s not sure of love because of his upbringing and Romy had an amazing upbringing filled with lots of family and love. It was so important that they met each other where they were at, and picked each other up, and they did that.

Zander gets really protective over Romy, and for many good reasons. He’s afraid, she’s vulnerable, and he doesn’t want his lifestyle to get in the way of what they have. They both try to compromise as best they can. It honestly felt so real. We get this story from both of their POVs, and it really made this one give you all the feels because of that. I love when I get “get inside the head” of the man.

Romy’s family is also so great when it comes to Zander and their relationship, and everything that surrounds them. I love all these characters from this series, and the newly introduced characters in this book. I can’t wait for the next one!
