It Should Have Been You

Many, many thanks to Penguin Group Viking for the ARC of this book!

Phew, what a book this was! Susan is a new mom, she’s sleep deprived and stuck at home most of the time. There is a WhatsApp group chat with others that live in the neighborhood, and her sisters live nearby. Another neighbor makes a comment in the group chat that Susan knows is aimed at her. She screenshots it sends a diatribe to her sisters, revealing secrets about that neighbor and their family. Only, she sent it to the group chat and not her sisters. And this missent text message sets of a chain of events where Susan is the common denominator, including a death.

This is one of these books that takes off and just keeps going at 900,000 miles per hour. It’s hard to grasp your breath, it’s hard to look away and stop reading. It’s secrets being revealed, it’s horrific behavior, it’s just so fast paced and twisty, filled with suspense. It’s really a great read and can easily be read in one sitting.

Sending a wrong text to someone is something that anyone can do, I sure have done it and had to cover myself! Will it always result in drastic occurrences? No. It is just something that is very relatable.

So if you’re looking for a fast paced, twisty, bingeable thriller, check this one out!!
