Reading this book is like take a deep breath and not being able to release it because you’re kept in suspense. The author here does a fantastic job of keeping you guessing and making more than one person suspicious. It helps that the chapters are short, there is a bit of action, and a lot of dialogue.

I will say, I didn’t love that you get multiple points of view within one chapter. It is in third person so it’s easy to follow, but it’s just not personally my favorite. I also actually guessed the whodunit early on in the book, but that may just be a product of me reading a ton of thriller books.

There is an interesting true crime aspect to this book too, courtesy of Lizzie, Bryden’s sister. She goes online and talks to people are about her missing sister, starts sleuthing with them. It happens all the time in real life, so I did enjoy that part!

Overall, a good thriller. This is my first time reading this author, and I’ll definitely check out more books.
