An escape game reality show wherein teenage groups of four solve the trickiest escape rooms. Last season, the show ended with death when Sierra opened a coffin and found her sister Alicia’s body. Now Sierra is back, and not just to win a million dollars. Even though she has been a suspect in her sister’s death, she swears that she did not kill her, and wants to find her killer. With clues to the true killer surfacing, it’s become clear that this isn’t just a regular game anymore, it’s a deadly game. Will Alicia’s true killer be revealed?
This is a fun read. I love escape rooms, so that, coupled with this amazing cover, is what drew me to want to read this book. I loved the escape rooms. The authors did such a great job of describing them and describing the clues, how the contestants were going out finding the clues – I could picture it all. I do wish, however, that we got more of the escape rooms. Those chapters were so fun but so quick. I felt like the in between chapters were running a little long.
I didn’t figure out the twist, but I think that’s just because I was along for the ride with this one. I wanted to read about the escape rooms, and I was so focused on them!
Some of the characters I liked, and some of them I didn’t. I think I liked who I was supposed and disliked who I was supposed to.
I didn’t realize that there was going to be a second book. I’m very intrigued and I do want to read it! I hope there is more escape room chapters, or that those are a bit longer.
So if you like puzzles and mysteries, then this one is for you!
