Sam Statler and Annie Potter, newlyweds, move from New York City and move up to Sam’s small town childhood neighborhood. They do this to be near Sam’s mother, who has dementia and is in a home. Annie spends most of her time along as her husband, who is a therapist, works in a downstairs office. However, Sam doesn’t know that all his sessions, which he believe are private, can be heard through the vent in the ceiling. Most of Sam’s clientele are female, including a new client, Charlie – the French girl that shows up in a green Mini Cooper. It seems then that Sam and Annie’s happily ever after may not happen the way that they thought it would.
For me, the book started off a little slow. Then BAM, a twist that I didn’t see coming. Then it was getting really good. Then BAM! Another twist! After the second twist, the book was amazing! I didn’t want to stop reading because I wanted to find out what was going to happen next. I’ve been very fortunate lately to read some books with plot lines that I haven’t read before. Again, it was refreshing to read this new and interesting plot line. One I would have never thought of! I can’t wait to read other books by this author.
Definitely proceed quickly to read this book! You can get your copy here.
