Six friends live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. When they get a new neighbor in the biggest house on the street, they are curious as to who they are. Then they get a dinner invitation to meet the new neighbors. As dinner progresses, not everyone is feeling particularly comfortable. As soon as dessert is over, they are ready to leave. But when they get to the front door, it’s locked and they cannot leave. The game begins, but it’s more sinister than anyone could have thought. With secrets and lies being revealed, will anyone make it out alive?

This book has everything you want in a thriller – it is fast paced, filled with twists, mysterious, keeps you on the edge of your seat, has betrayals, and surprising reveals. One of the best things about this book is that it is a new idea – not something that I have read. I really enjoy reading a different type of plot, and this hit the nail on the head. I loved trying to playing along with the characters, even though I’m terrible at it. Author Kiersten Modglin always comes up with something refreshing and evil, and I love it!
