Marissa and Matthew Bishop seem to have it all. They are wealthy, good looking, and from the outside, seem to have the perfect marriage. That is, until Marissa strays and is unfaithful. She seeks out Avery Chambers, a former therapist and now consultant, for help. Avery has a ten session program to help her clients, and it has been successful. It is in the first session that Marissa reveals that she has been unfaithful to Matthew, but this isn’t the only secret that is to be revealed. Now, it’s not just their marriage that’s in danger.
This book gave me everything that I love about psychological thrillers – secrets, betrayals, murder, and twists. I have read all the books that these authors have written together, and this is by far my favorite. The book pulled me in right from the very beginning and kept me engaged throughout. I wanted to devour this book; I literally had to force myself to put it down so that I could go to sleep! The writing flowed nicely, making it an easy read. There were so many little mysteries throughout the book, and when one was solved, another appeared! When I started to learn the truth about what was really happening, little things that I didn’t even know were mysteries were revealed! It was mind-blowing.
