The Last House on Needless Street

By: Catriona Ward

There is something odd going on at the boarded up house on Needless street. The house is occupied by a man who likes to drink a lot, a teenage girl who isn’t allowed out and a religious cat. Then, someone moves in next door. All of the secrets of the boarded up house on Needless Street are about to be revealed.

This has to be one of the worst books that I have read. It’s very confusing, and even as things start to make sense, they still kind of don’t and by that point, I just didn’t care. I hate to DNF a book, so I pushed my way through this one, but reading it was really a waste of time. I’m honestly glad I got it from the library and didn’t spend any money on it!

The book started out as one thing, turned into something completely different and then briefly made mention of the first thing towards the end of the book. There was no suspense, there were two twists, and overall just very blah. The characters never felt developed, and honestly all the chapter’s except for Dee’s chapters, felt like nothing but ramblings.

If you want to take a chance on this book, you can do so here.
