The Truth In My Lies

By: Ivy Smoak

“Don’t be fooled by what you see… It’s the things you don’t that really matter.”

Adeline Bell is a 30 year old suburban housewife. Her husband keeps her on a tight leash and she isn’t allowed out of the house often. She looks forward to her morning runs, everyday at 8am. However, she particularly looks forward to the Thursday morning runs. That’s when she sees him. A beautiful speicimen of a man who mows lawns. She wasn’t supposed to talk to him, she just liked admiring him as she ran. Then one day, she fell and sprained her ankle and he came to her rescue. He became intrigued by her as much as she was intrigued by him. Soon, the two found themselves spending a lot of time together. They both have been lying to each other and holding in secrets…

I read this book on a recommendation from a friend and WOW what a book! I absolutely loved it. It was riveting; I couldn’t read it fast enough. I wanted to know what was really going on so I kept turning the pages to read more. The writing flowed beautifully making it an easy and fast read.

I didn’t see the ending coming at all. It never even crossed my mind that what happened was going to happen. This book gets a giant 5 stars from me!

Definitely a must read, please get your copy here!
