“Destiny could also be a choice…. To believe or not, to be vulnerable or not, to go all in or not.”
Jess Davis is a hard working mother and statistician. But her love life has been rather non-existent. Her father wasn’t never around, her daughter’s father decided he didn’t want to be a father; she didn’t really have the time and energy to put into dating. Then she caught wind of a company named GeneticAlly – a matchmaking service based on DNA. Her friend Fizzy bought her a sample test kit, and one night, she spit into the tube and sent it in to find her match. Forgetting about it, she received an alert notifiying her that she matched with Dr. River Pena, the founder of GenticAlly, at 98%! GeneticAlly proposes that she getto know him, and she agrees, afterall, this could really launch the company. But can DNA really determine whether two people are compatible?
This was definitely a fun, cute read. I didn’t read the whole synopsis before reading the book, but I didn’t know ahead of time that Jess was going to be matched with the founder, but I had a feeling that was going to happen. While I did enjoy seeing the romance blossom between Jess and River, my favorite character was Jess’ best friend, Fizzy. She was a ride or die friend, a spitfire, and super honest. I loved reading about her, and I would she would get her own book! Any only that loves a good romance book, will really enjoy this one.
