MY REVIEW

I just loved this book. Does it have some of the typical tropes? Yes. Forced proximity, fake dating, etc.. but there was just something so beautiful about this book. For me, it was the fact that both the main characters weren’t perfect cookie cutter characters. Briana is soon to be divorced, afraid to be hurt again… afraid to love. Jacob suffers with severe society anxiety. Honestly? As someone who suffers from anxiety and social anxiety, I appreciated reading his character. I thought Jimenez handled this character with care. Bri was just so understanding, and not everyone is (as also seen in this book). Jimenez also gave both of these characters wonderful families, and again, these families weren’t perfect, cookie cutter families either. I want to meet Jacob; I fell in love with him in this book. The ONLY reason that I took a star away (giving it 4 instead of 5), is that the book talked about Briana getting a promotion, and it was kind of hinted as to what was going to happen, but we never got finality with it. Oh! This is also the second book in the Part of Your World series, so we also get to see Alexis and Daniel again! That was a lovely surprise for me. These book will melt your heart.
