Good Bad Girl

By: Alice Feeney

“There is always a reason why people behave the way that they do. Sometimes bad people are just sad people in disguise”

When am I going to learn! Twenty years ago a baby was stolen from a stroller and now a woman in a home care facility is dead and these two events are linked, but how? Edith lives in the home care facility and Patience works there, but each of them are lying to each other. Edith’s daughter, Clio, won’t talk to her. She meets Frankie when Frankie comes to see her. How do all these people tie together and what are they all hiding?

This book felt like a big cluster in the beginning. I was so confused about who the characters were because there was so many characters introduced in the beginning. As things cleared up, the plot lines were still muddy. I read books to lose myself in them, for pleasure – not so that I have to plot things out on paper so that I can follow along.

I would never describe this book as a thriller. It’s more like family drama. It was really just bleh. While it was easy to read, there was nothing exciting about it. There was barely any development over the murder and the investigation. The Detective was obnoxious. I didn’t feel any suspense, I wasn’t kept on the edge of my seat, and it was just an okay book.
