It’s 2021 and Reagan has spent 2020 isolating due to the pandemic. Not only has she gotten used to it, she likes it. But she feels bad for her grandpa, and she doesn’t want to make him spend another Christmas alone. So she isolates for 2 weeks to make sure she isn’t sick. While at her grandfather’s, she’ runs into Mason, the boy next door that she went to school with but never really paid attention to. But they are grown up, they are different. Can she keep her distance.
This was a cute read and very short. I liked it because it didn’t feel like instalove. I loved the focus on her grandfather as well. Reagan was far from perfect and that was nice to read as well. I personally liked that this was a covid romance (as it was really the first one I’ve read), and that the author showed both sides of people during the pandemic – those who stayed inside and those who didn’t bother. It wasn’t preachy at all.
