About the Book
Who knew snowstorms could have so much heat.
Billionaire fashion designer. Infamous playboy. Extreme sports daredevil. Devlin Storm lives for the rush, pushing every limit — on the slopes, in business, and in the bedroom. And the world watches his every move.
Hotel receptionist in an exclusive Alpine resort, Darcy Wainwright is content with her safe but predictable job, tiny apartment and quiet social life.
Until she’s required to accompany Devlin on a helicopter ride over the mountains. He’s rude and arrogant and Darcy is determined to get the trip over with as quickly as possible.
Devlin doesn’t want Darcy with him any more than she wants to be there. She refuses to cater to his every whim. She doesn’t care who he is. And her nervous chatter is driving him crazy.
Then the storm hits. Their helicopter goes down in the middle of the Alps and Darcy and Devlin are forced to work past their animosity to get safely off the mountain.
But when they find shelter in a log cabin, that’s when the real storm begins.

My Review
This has to be one of my favorite grumpy sunshine books that I have ever read. It’s because Devlin has such a “good reason” for his grumpiness. Darcy does such a great job of breaking down his walls and making him feel comfortable so that he is able to really show his true self and be his true self. You could feel Devlin’s internal struggle between the two versions of himself. This really was one of my favorite aspects of the book.
Couple this with the intensity of the situation of a helicopter crash, injuries, and trying to survive, and this book has some very intense moments in it. Through it all, Darcy is strong, and while she doesn’t always feel brave, she really is. Darcy is smart, vulnerable, and just a good person. When she has to trust Devlin and rely on him, she lets herself because she knows it’s her only chance at survival.
I was into the slow feelings between Devlin and Darcy, and then the two dropped the L bomb really quick, and that kind of threw me off a little bit. But I did like Devlin’s stunt at the press conference (that’s all I’m saying so I don’t give anything away). Romance lovers are going to really enjoy this book!!!
