Jenna, Donnie, and Nico all grew up in a group home, the Savior House. Along with them were Benny and Artemis, Annie, and Marta. Jenna, Donnie, and Nico were best friends, but when the home closed, the three of them went their separate ways. Donnie is a musician, Nico works on a television show, and Jenna is married and has a family. They haven’t seen each other in 25 years, and now are being reunited because someone is trying to kill them. Now, they need to confront their childhood nightmares and a secret for which someone wants them dead.
Finlay writes an action packed, suspenseful novel full of mystery. There is not a dull moment in this book; it leaves you on the edge of your seat. The story is told from multiple point of views, namely Jenna, Nico, and Donnie, and there are frequent flashbacks to their childhood and what they endured. Each of the characters were very interesting and it was easy to like them. The chapters flowed well and were read quickly. There was just enough background information for each one to understand why things were happening. There were two shocking moments in the book that I couldn’t believe what I had read! Even if the readers can guess one, they will never guess the other! Overall, a great book and one that I will recommend to any action thriller reader.
