Anne Wilson gets a message from her friend Sandy asking for help.  Anne takes some time from work, and leaves her home in Miami for Saint Martin, where Anne is located.  Soon after she arrives, Sandy is murdered.  Sandy’s death reveals that the name Sandy is an alias, that she had a secret past, and that there’s stolen money on the island.  Anne receives a message, find the money, and run.  She follows Sandy’s trail of clues to find the money.  Two men have come into Anne’s life, but she isn’t sure she can trust them.  Can she find the money?  What and why is this happening?

Assumed is action packed and fast paced, you won’t be able to put it down!  This book was such a surprise, and a good surprise!  It is nothing like I have read before, and that alone made it enjoyable.  The direction that this book was such a surprise!  There are so many twists and turns, that I couldn’t figure out what was going on!  I did find it a little alarming that Anne was so trusting of these men that she just met – really, I wanted to yell at her “Don’t you read the news” or “Don’t you listen to true crime podcasts!” Other than that, I enjoyed Anne as a character.  She was believable and true to herself.  This book is full of adventure, mystery, and romance – perfect for any reader.  So get on, and get to reading!
