The Drop

Cady is a YouTuber. She travels around going from theme park to theme park documenting her travels and rides. When her old friend from college Danny invited her to his new theme park to get a sneak peak at a new roller coaster – 700 feet high. When she gets there, she finds her other old friends from college. They were all invited for an exclusive, private ride. The 4 of them get on the right and just as they are coming to the top of the first drop, the ride stalls. Now they must talk honestly among themselves if they want to survive. Afterall, they are in the middle of the desert, 700 feet in the air, and the sun will be coming up soon.

I really enjoyed this book. Masters writes books that keep you in suspense. The first part of this book after they got on the ride and realized it stop, I felt like I was on the roller coaster with them. The books is told in the present and in the past, so when it went back to the past, I breathed with relief. Then it came back to the present and my heart was out of my chest again! The tension that Masters created was perfect!

It slowed down a little in the middle, but then it picked right back up! All of them have secrets, and when they are revealed, they are shocking. Including Danny’s secret. I was happy with the way that this one ended too. I really want to say more about this book but I don’t want to give anything away.

Like I said, it’s full of suspense and tension and secrets that are revealed. If that’s what you like to read, I’d highly suggest this one!
