By: Navessa Allen

Tyler Neumann wants to find his father, not for a reunion, but because he wants his revenge for leaving him and his mother, and leaving them in poverty. Tyler hates the wealthy, which is father is. So is Stella McCormick and her family, who are best friends with his father. When Tyler walks into her tattoo shop, she knows that this man is the devil. She’s forced to be his fake girlfriend due to blackmail, so he can be invited to the parties and find his father. He hates her. She hates him. Somehow they can’t keep their hands off each other.
This is the third book in the Into the Darkness series. It’s much better than the second one, but I still like Lights Out a bit more than this one. Allen turned up the heat and spice in this one, but she also turned up the stakes.
Tyler was infuriating, but since we were able to get into his mind via the chapters from his point of view, it was easier to kind of like him a bit. We’re able to learn why he is th way he is. Also, he also isn’t above changing his mind. It’s easy to feel bad for Stella. While she was forced into this fake dating scheme, she also has a medical issue that she is dealing with. It was nice to see that representation in the book! It was a different type of medical issue from one that I’ve read before, and I appreciated the author’s note in the beginning about it.
Please check trigger warnings before reading this book. The level/type of spice in this book is different than the other books. Everything is consensual, and everyone is an adult. There’s a time where there’s a third with them, AJ, but it didn’t seem to flow with the book. There’s quite a scene with brat kink as well.
I do think this book is worth the read! So check it out!
