I did it!! I finally read Catherine Cowles book!! I’m SO glad that I have finally read this author. And while most people have read this book, I hadn’t read it until now!
Fragile Sanctuary is about Rho and Anson, both have been through traumatic things. But it’s not until her brother Shep brings Anson around to help with a construction job does Rho meet Anson. He’s the definition of broody. His past has hardened him. But he gives her a smirk every once in a while, and they connect because they understand each other. And when strange things start happening to Rho, it’s Anson that steps in to ground her and protect her. She doesn’t really know him, he’s closed off. He’s keeping secrets, secrets that could potentially harm Rho.
Am I the only one that read this book and fell for Anson?! New book boyfriend for me? I think so! Anson comes across as a jerk, but he’s a really good guy deep down. And the moments when we get to see his softness, how much he cares.. they are heart stopping and breath taking.
Then comes the suspense and the mystery in the book. I wasn’t expecting that at all (though I should have but I forgot the reviews I’ve read). But I love a good romantic suspense, and this one was GOOD. I mean, I couldn’t have guessed where this was going in a million years.
So now that I’ve read and loved this book, I’ll be reading all of Cowles’ books!
