Amanda has been chatting with Chad through Obsess AI, an app in which you get an AI boyfriend who you can talk to anything about, at any time. They offer a new feature to match your AI boyfriend with a real guy. Amanda agrees to it. She starts talking to human Chad, with the same personality with AI Chad, complete with mysteriousness and a motorcycle. She meets him, but he won’t take his helmet off, won’t really talk – he texts her instead. He’s brooding and protective, and he feels familiar. But she isn’t sure why. What Amanda doesn’t know is that the man behind the helmet is the one that broke her heart, the one that walked away from her – her ex husband, Kade. He’s back now, and he wants her back.
OMG, I don’t know if I love this book as much as the first one, or more than the first one. Amanda was such a fun character, witty, charming, and a complete baddie – equipped with a hot pink gun. And Kade? He’s the reason I love dark romances. Over protective, stalker, determined. UGH, if I were Amanda, I would have fallen for Kade a thousand times over. He was EVERYTHING!!! He’s perfect for those that love their MMCs that are a little unhinged – obsessive, possessive, but really in the best of ways.
At the heart of this book, it’s a second chance dark romance. Kade may have left Amanda all those years ago physically, but she’s never left his heart. And really, he’s never left hers. When he asks her to tell him her real name.. UGH… one of the best moments.
Is it weird that my heart swooned with Kade? Because it certainly did. I hope this author continues to write books exactly like this one. I will read ALL of them!!!
