Since Gia was a young girl, Rhys Granger was her brother’s best friend, and she vowed that she would marry him. Rhys is a rockstar, and he behaves like one. Tons of groupies, no relationships, just some fun. Gia walked away from him once and now he’s thrust back into her life due to an employment opportunity. She thought she could stay professional, but they have an addiction to each other, and they can’t stay away.
This was an easy read. I was able to knock this one out in one sitting, and it took me maybe a few hours. The story takes place in both the past and the present. Those past chapters are needed in order to understand the thoughts and behaviors of both characters in the present.
There is tons of physical chemistry and angst between these two characters and it is ALL over the pages! But there is also good character development, especially for Cassandra. I didn’t always understand the choices that were made by these characters, but they are who they are and they are drawn to each other. Their choices made sense for the characters, even if I didn’t agree with them.
Overall, this was a fun, quick read! Oh yeah, and the MMC is tattooed and pierced!
