This book was the absolute sweetest!! Sloane Sullivan is looking forward to some down time in December after an extended fall season in Bramble Falls. She’s excited to just hang out with her best friend, Asher, and go to NY with her cousin. But then her mom decides to ride the tourist ride and make December a month of events, which Sloane now has to help plan – which also means she isn’t going to NY. She at least has Asher and her friends to help plan the events. And then there’s Micah Cook, the handsome hockey player that seems interested in her. This seem weird between her and Asher, but he’s always been just her best friend, right?
This book has me SMILING from ear to ear at times, and I laughed a bit too. The friendly and funny banter between Sloane and Asher was fantastic. There were moments that my heart dropped the same way that Sloane’s did, and I love an author that can make my heart feel! There were times I wanted to shake both of them and tell them to communicate about their feelings. But I get it, when you’re that young, talking to someone about how you feel isn’t easy. But these two, they are end game. When I tell you that Asher does the SWEETEST things for Sloane, I meant it. I won’t tell you what they are though.
I didn’t read the first book, and I don’t think you have to. But I want Bramble Falls with all of their Christmas events to be real!! I loved reading about the town. It felt like the perfect setting.
So if you love a non spice, young adult romance that will make your heart gush, check this one out!
