When Claire was 18, Griffin, her brother’s best friend and bandmate, rejected her. Now she’s 26 and he’s 40, and she still hates him for how he treated her back then. However, her brother gives her an opportunity to work as the band’s social media manager, which also includes going on tour with them. She’s reluctant to accept because she doesn’t want to be around Griffin. She does accept and now she finds herself in Griffin’s orbit. Soon enough, walls come down and they can’t keep their hands off each other.
This is a high spice, age gap, brother’s best friend, enemies to lovers, musician romance. I loved it! It was clear from the very beginning that there was a ton of chemistry between Claire and Griffin. It was also really clear that he cared about her and wanted her forgiveness for what happened 8 years earlier. He tried to reach out to her many times throughout the years. The banter between the two was fantastic. Griffin had me swooning. Musician, tattooed, pierced, and he wrote her a song!!!
Somehow, everyone but her brother Rhett, could see that something was brewing between the two. One of the other bandmates, Bailey, definitely figured it out. I really liked Bailey. He kept their secret, and he even revealed that he had one of his own.
This was my first time reading this author, but it won’t be my last. I can’t wait to read more!
