A Little Bit Obsessed

By: Chrissy Hopewell

Many thanks to Hambright PR for the ARC of this book!

Wes and his brother Noah rid the world of the worst men possible. Callie wants to get away from her crime family and her marriage. But when she can’t find her husband to get him to sign the divorce papers she enlists Wes’ help. When she goes to meet him in person, she freaks out and doesn’t go inside to meet him. Instead, she follows him home. She didn’t expect to be drugged and zip tied to a chair in front of the fire. When Wes realizes she’s just a bad criminal and not a threat, he agrees to help her.. and then falls for her, hard.

I wasn’t sure about this book when I started it. The tension and chemistry between Wes and Callie in the beginning felt forced to me. HOWEVER, that quickly changed as I got more into the book. These two are MADE for each other. They both accept each other for who they are, even if it is a serial killer.

Wes is now one of my favorite MMCs. He’s a cinnamon roll/golden retriever when it comes to Callie. He’s super protective and getting his point of view made me understand his feelings. He also LOVES to bake apple pie and enters a competition every year. He knows his community and his neighbors. He also gets rid of bad men. What’s not to love? Callie is also awesome. She is determined and at times fearless. She’s lacked a lot of love and protection in her life and Wes is the one that provided it to her. I loved how much he lifted her up.

There was more to Callie and Wes than just attraction. They actually talked to each other, they opened up to each other and were vulnerable with each other. Wes also had a great relationship with his brother, Noah. Knowing their back story really elevated the story and their characters.

I feel like I’m gushing now. I’m excited for the next book!!!
