My Review
This is a second in the duology Meet The Parents, and can be read as a standalone. I didn’t read the first one and I never at any point felt like I was missing out on anything.
Shiner’s books are always easy to read and fast paced. There is never a dull moment in the book. At any moment, someone’s secrets are going to come out.. and eventually they all do! But they aren’t the secrets that you think you’re going to find. This book definitely kept me on my toes.
I liked Gina as the FMC, I thought she was relatable and easy to root for. Her mom took me a few minutes to warm up to. I did wind up eventually liking Carol. I HATED Owen, but that’s by design.
There are quite a few surprises in this book, and I didn’t see any of them coming. Just remember, everyone has a secret – can you figure it out?
