Then the roses arrive. A vase of bloodred blooms on her doorstep. An anonymous Thank you.
She’s found him. A serial killer who’s been leaving breadcrumbs only she can see. A killer who’s been cleaning up his work—knowing she’ll clean up after him. A killer who wants her to follow.
And follow she must. No matter how terrifying the trail becomes.
My Review
This is the first book in the new Olive Hunt series by this author, and I cannot wait for the next one to come out!
I loved this new perspective – I haven’t read a book where the FMC is a crime scene cleaner. Olive also had contamination OCD due to her childhood, and it caused her to be meticulous during the clean up of the crime scene. The killer leaving notes for her to find was a great touch.
I know some have said that they were able to figure things out, but I wasn’t able to. I think it’s because I wasn’t really trying to figure it out – I was along for the ride with Olive!
The book is well written, the pace is pretty steady, and the reveals were fantastic! The ending is kind of a cliffhanger, but with this being a series, I wasn’t surprised.
I hope the next one comes out soon!
