Scream For Me

By: Ayla Valentine

Music kept me alive when I didn’t even want to keep myself alive.

Kat has been running from her past for the past year. Now, she’s in a band and has an opportunity for a residency at a local venue called Headstone. She’s caught eyes with the owner, Elias, and there is an unspoken desire between the two. Elias, on top of being the owner of Headstone, is in charge of The Circle. They keep drugs out of the city and the gangs in line. Elias wants to protect Kat, but she hasn’t let him in on her past. Then her past comes back, but can Elias keep her safe?

My synopsis does NOT do this book justice. I saw this book on Bookstagram and thought it looked good so I grabbed a copy. I’m SO glad that I did! This book surprised me in the best of ways. I was addicted to reading it, I didn’t want to put it down. I didn’t really read things about the book closely, so I didn’t realize it was going to end on a cliffhanger. Now I really NEED the next book… like right now, this minute.

I love love love Kat and Elias together. His protectiveness is the perfect amount. And yeah, maybe he’s killed some people, but if he’s getting rid of people that aren’t good, that’s okay, right? Their chemistry, their heat, but also their vulnerability with each other is awesome.

There were a few parts of the book that were my favorite so I had to re-read them while I was reading the book. This RARELY happens for me. I’m ready to read the book again right now. It’s THAT good.I love how much Elias supported her once he found out what happened to her. He also opened up to her. I also really like that Kat showed strength towards the end of the book.

I didn’t know I was going to love this book as much as I did but I’m SOOO glad that I saw it on Booksta and I read it!!! 5++++ Stars!
