OH MY!!! What a book this is!! I loved Dominick and Amelia together. I love that his hard exterior slowly melted away for Amelia. The best part about it was that she wasn’t even trying to get his hard exterior melt away, and I think that’s why I loved it so much. I could slowly see him softening for her in a way that he was letting himself feel for her in a way that he hasn’t felt for over 20 years.
So now that I’ve gushed over his soft side, let’s talk about how dominant, possessive, and obsessive he is! And it was oh so good. All of it. His mouth is so dirty but it worked for him and this book. I think I fell in love with him a little!
Amelia was great character. She didn’t let her ex cheating on her tear her down. Was she sad? Yes. Was she pissed? Yes. But she decided to reclaim her life, and it felt like every time something happened that emotionally effected her, she felt the sadness but also summoned enough strength to take a step forward.
This was my first read by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last!
